Peek - A - Boo : A Poem Reflecting on Entanglement

Updated: Jan 10

Peek - A - Boo

Sometimes love

Is best kept hidden

Well dressed

Fresh linen

Supple skin

Breathing

Hydration

Covered still

Eyes slit

Half open

Again

And

Again

I see you

Peering

And I

See back

I see you

While I'm

Still

Wearing my blue

And

Still

Well dressed

Top button open

For once

I'm not afraid

Your hands slip

They fall empty

"This," you

Say,

"This, right here

Is plenty."

One, two,

Three

Petals drop

Like fine jewelry.

The end to my every beginning.

"I start my day

The same exact way

That I always like

To end them."

My favorite friend.

Again,

and again.

How did you

Know to

find me?

"That's easy,

It's you.

"You've never been very good

At hiding."
